FMT Hardwood & Softwood Log Scaling Specifications.
- Scale is 1/4 Kerf International Rule
- Trim: 6" on all logs
- Lengths: prime log-8'-12'6", grade log-8'-16'6", pallet log-8'-16'6", must be in 2' intervals
- Call before bringing in higher grade logs.
- All logs must be absolutely straight and fresh cut from living trees.
- Mixed loads accepted.
- Deductions will be made for: crook, rot, seam, shake, split, stain or sweep.
- Logs containing metal will be culled. All culled logs become the property of FMT if not picked up within 7 working days
- Logs need to be cut to specification. The cost to remanufacture the logs will be $25 to $50 per hour.
- We are able to transport logs from your jobsite to our concentration yard.
- Scale week ends on Friday, 3 pm, payments will be mailed no later than Wednesday the following week.
