Staff forester, Patrick Kenney, is trained to review and place private landowners in the Tree Farm program. The American Tree Farm program consists of landowners who are committed to excellence in forest stewardship. Pictured here is one of our clients, Pembroke Water Works, in Pembroke, NH.
Patrick's training enables him to establish the ownership goals and objectives for our clients' resources. Foresters are trained in fields such as timber production, wildlife management, soil and water resources, and recreation management.
One of our clients' biggest objectives is the capacity of the forest to produce the highest financial return possible. Pictured to the right is a pine seedling demonstrating two years of growth.
This seedling has put on the same amount of growth in seven years as the seedling pictured above. This picture was taken after an over story removal of a mature stand of hardwood in an effort to release the pine regeneration as the next crop. |
